11 months!

One more month and I will have a one year old. How is that possible?? It is bittersweet that is for sure. My baby is no longer a baby that is for sure. I am a bad blogger, and once you get behind it is overwhelming all the things you need to post. But, I promise that I will try to be better this year. I still need to post about the cruise and Christmas.

Caden weighs over 20 lbs, probably close to 21. He is 30.5 inches long, tall boy. He still LOVES to eat. Just this week he dropped his 2 nursing during the day, so he just nurses in the morning and before bed. He loves to eat what we are eating, he is a little pig that is for sure. You wouldn't know from looking at him, he has skinny little arms and legs, but a big belly. Derek and I joke that he looks pregnant:) He looks hilarious when he walks around naked after his bath with his big belly and chicken legs!

His favorite thing is to go down and play in the basement. His kiddy set of golf clubs are down there and he loves hitting the balls around. He is going to be a pro golfer:) He also has a slide that he like to climb on and slide down. He still needs to learn to go feet first, not head first. We just help him out, but he has tried to go down head first and has succeed a few times! It is a nice change of scenery for us during these long winter days.

Speaking of winter, we went outside in the snow yesterday. I bought him a snowsuit at the beginning of November, but took it back a few weeks ago when we hadn't used it. I am regretting it now and he begs to go outside. He will go to the back door and point and make his noises that he does when he wants something. So cute and yet so sad when it is too cold out. I did bundle him up and let him walk around yesterday before the snow was too deep. He LOVED it! I tried to bring him in and he cried. He was so intrigued. Makes me excited for next year and really playing with him out there.

He loves playing with his basketball hoop in the living room and in the bath. He gets so excited when he makes a basket and claps for himself. He loves his ball popper and puzzles. He likes to carry things around the house, especially spoons and toothbrushes. He freaks out if we brush our teeth in front of him and we don't give him one. He definitely has an attitude. Which I am trying to figure out if it is time to start disciplining him. Any ideas? I know he understands that he is doing something wrong. He just is used to getting his way, how do you stop this? Oh the joys of parenting:)

Still has 6 teeth, but the molars are working there way in. They have taken my sweet and easy baby away from me:( Caden has been SUPER fussy and irritable and tired this past week. So hard and sad. He has gone to be before 7 the last week and this afternoon and evening it was the worst yet. In bed at 6:30. He still gets up at 7:15 or 7:30. so about 13 hours of sleep at night. Naps have been hit or miss. I can't figure him out, one day he will take a 2 hour morning nap and the next is 45. If I don't hit the right time, I am doomed. I am determined to figure this out this week. But, the last two days I put him down at the same time and one day it was 2 hours and the next 45. So, I don't know what to do. But, I am thankful that he still takes 2 naps and sleep so well at night.

He sure does love his Daddy. He hates when Derek leaves every morning, he will go to the door multiple times to see if he is there. His face lights up when he comes in the door. He gets all giddy and I love it! Derek plays so well with him and they have lots of fun. Derek loves channeling his inner child:)

He is an amazing walker, people never believe me when I tell them how old he is. He started to squat down and pick up stuff a few weeks ago. He still can't go from sitting to standing very well without grabbing or holding onto something. He never crawls unless he has to.

He loves getting out of the house and interacting with people. He is a big flirt with the ladies. He always shows them his big smile and those gorgeous blue eyes. He is a looker:)

He continues to get bring so much JOY to our lives. I can't remember life without him. Yes, I have days where I could break down and cry because it was a hard day. But, once he is in bed I can relax, I start to miss him. He is such a fun boy and melts my heart daily. I love his hugs and slobbery kisses. I love the feeling I get when he reaches for me. I can't imagine what it will feel like to love more than one kid.

He loves to chew on his wipes, weirdo:)

Can't believe my next post about him will be his 12 month post. Time is just flying and I need it to slow down. My baby is growing up before my eyes and it will only speed up. Guess that is why you have more babies:) (No I am not pregnant...yet!!)

Happy 11 months Monkey Man!!
