Funny Story

Recently Derek and I have been talking about a certain name for the baby. It is at the top of both of our lists, but Derek wants to make sure he doesn't hear something better. So, he won't 100% commit to it. On Saturday, I was upstairs painting the nursery and Derek was taking a break from rolling and was watching football in our room. The door bell rang and I went down to answer it.

There was 2 little boys, probably about 8 years old waiting. I figured they were probably trying to sell something. I was wrong. The first little guy asked, "Is there a little boy named _____ that lives here?" The name was the name that we are highly considering! I couldn't help but laugh inside. After telling him that there wasn't, I ran upstairs to tell Derek. He said, "Did you say not yet?" I told him God is telling us that is the name we are suppose to use:)

I just thought it was funny how little things like that happen.

So, maybe we have a name:)

I will post pictures of the paint color once Derek does the second coat! This preggo lady's body can't take anymore painting, I was so sore on Sunday!!

100 days to go until my due date!!! Getting closer and closer!

25 weeks!

25 weeks, sounds so long! But, I have made it this far and February is truly not that far off. CRAZY!

This week started off beautiful, 70 degrees and now it has been raining since Wednesday night and COLD! It feels like 33 degrees outside right now! Brr! What happened to gorgeous fall weather? Did we skip that season this year? Makes me depressed:(

Want to know what else is making me depressed? H1N1! Well, depressed sounds so bad, so maybe more just annoyed. I really don't want to get it, knowing the effect it has on pregnant woman. I am washing my hands like crazy and just praying lots! So, any healthy prayers would be appreciated.

I was suppose to babysit all afternoon in Indianola, but the 5 year old boy had a fever this morning so I couldn't go. I was so sad, I needed my kid fix. I haven't seen them for 2 weeks and that is 2 weeks too long. But, I just can't risk it. Oh the things I am already doing for my unborn son!!

NoName still is NoName. Although Derek and I do agree on a name, but he isn't ready to 100% commit to it yet. He said he wants to see what he looks like! HA!! We will see if I can truly last 3 1/2 more months without being able to call him a name.

I am going to buy paint for his room today, I hope I know what I am doing. At least paint can always be changed:)

On a completely random note, this is what you get when you are pregnant and your hubby loves you:) We were at Hy-Vee a little while ago and I saw Fruit by the Foot and just mentioned to him how that sounded good, but not the healthiest item for me to be eating. I didn't get any and just went on with grocery shopping. On Sunday he went to Costco to get some stuff after his flag football game and he came home with this:


We now have 42 Fruit by the Foot! Well, there aren't 42 left anymore:) So, if you get a craving for some, come on over! We have plenty! It is the little things that I love about my husband. If you know Derek, it is very rare that he would spend $9 on this! So thanks for the surprise baby:)

Monday we will have been married for 1 1/2 years so Derek is taking me to PF Changs. I have been craving that for the past 2 months and I am finally getting it! Nothing like expensive Chinese food to make this pregnant girl happy:)

All I have left to say is GO HAWKS!! Beat Michigan State by a lot so I am not stressed on Saturday evening!!

Oh and I while I am writing this I am listening to Chris Tomlin's new Christmas CD. Nothing like my favorite worship leader and my favorite music to make my day! And who says you can't listen to Christmas music in October??

24 weeks!! 6 months pregnant:)

24 weeks down, about 16 to go!

I had my 24 week doctor's appt. this morning. Everything is still looking good. Gaining some weight!! His heartbeat was 140 and sounding strong. I am measuring at 26 weeks, so hopefully that means he is a growing boy! I am dreading my next appt. because I have to do my glucose tolerance test. Yucky stuff.


We got the crib this week and put it up last night. That was fun! Makes it more and more real. Next up is painting the room, if only I could decide on a color. We also got a recliner for the baby's room. I have been calling him NoName. We don't have a name yet, but there is still plenty of time. But, I would like to just have a name. I keep praying that one will just pop into our heads and stay there:)

I have been catching up on my sleep all week and this morning I slept in until 10. Glorious! I am hoping to do the same thing tomorrow morning. Love weekends! Then I get to cheer on the Hawkeyes, hopefully to a win.

We are going to Wicked tomorrow night with Derek's family, I saw it with my Mom and Rachel a few weeks ago. I am stoked to see it again. So good!

23 weeks:)

Wow, busy weekend! That would be why I am posting on Monday and not Friday!
Friday I was in Indianola all day and we had friends over that night. Saturday we went crib shopping (we found one!!) then left for Iowa City. We went out to dinner with Derek's family and got to meet our new nephew, Joshua! He is so cute!
Then we braved the cold for the game, it was worth it! GO HAWKS! 6-0!!!!

Then the fun began! We got stuck in traffic for 1 hour! We didn't get to our house until after 2 am and then had to wait 15 minutes for Derek's brother, wife and baby to get here. That means I got into bed at 3. Needless to say, I was exhausted yesterday. I hated skipping church, but when you only have one service at 9:30, there was no way we were getting up for that.

We had brunch with Derek's family and then came back to our house and hung out/napped all afternoon. It was a good Sunday.

I am still catching up on sleep, it took all my might not to call in sick this morning. But, I am a good girl and went. A nap is calling my name though.

I am still feeling good and feeling him move lots. He is getting bigger and soon that will mean I will. I am finding that some of my shirts are not fitting, soon I might start stealing Derek's shirts.
We did find the crib and I am super excited about it. I also picked our fabric for the bedding, a close friend is having it made for us. So blessed!

This weather is killing me! What happened to fall? I love fall and this is ridiculous!!! We had snow on the grow for a little bit Saturday morning! Did we just skip over the 50-60 degree weather? Lord, please change the weather!!

Week 22

I am 2 days late posting!
Time got away from me, but here I am.

These weeks seem to be going SO slow! But, I am sure once November gets here they will fly by with the holidays.

Baby Mueller is an active little guy, kicking me lots! I really enjoy it, reminds me that he is in there and alive and well. I am feeling pretty good, finally found a comfortable sleeping position. I think I am starting to get heartburn:( BOO! But, so far Rolaids are helping. Hopefully it doesn't get worse.

IT IS COLD! Yesterday at the Hawkeye game I had to wear lots of layers, it was 40 some degrees. But, I love fall, but NOT winter. I can handle the 60s, but 40s already? No thanks. Not to mention our house has been 61 the last two mornings, brrr. Heating our big house is not fun! And I don't want to start that in Oct. Have to light lots of candles to keep us warm.

I knitted my first baby hat the other night. Super easy, I already started another one. They are so cheap and easy to make. Like the colors??


I haven't felt like my belly is growing much, but this morning at church everyone kept commenting on how big it is!
