We left Friday afternoon to drive up to Spencer, IA where my aunt and uncle live. My uncle, my dad's older brother, turned 65. They are moving down to Arizona so this was the last time to visit them in Spencer. We turned it into a Homan reunion and had lots of aunts and uncles and cousins there to celebrate. It was great seeing people and meeting some little kiddos we hadn't met. We hadn't seen most of them since my Grandpa's funeral 4 years ago. I loved having people get to meet Caden and Ellie.
My kids don't really like the car, Caden is much easier to entertain than Ellie. But she will get better with age I am sure. They slept well in the hotel room thankfully. We had fun just hanging out with family and playing with all the kids. Caden wouldn't take a nap, so come 8:00 he was a mess. This morning we saw family and left around 11. Quick trip, but we made some great memories and I am praying it isn't 4 years until we see them all again. Stinks when all your extended family lives all over the country.
